We went for it during today’s Wisdom Wednesday. I asked my kids what they needed, and they didn’t hold back.

We talked about stress, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, mindfulness, motivation, purpose, friendship, organization, control and lack thereof, sleep, overthinking and how to let things go.

One of my sweet kids shared that doing the work is hard, but it’ll be good in the end. And of course, I thought of Jimmy Dugan in A League of Their Own.

“It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.”

Although these kids didn’t choose this hard, it definitely has the potential to make them great. For all of us going through the hard, we can choose to let it break us or we can choose to be great.

How can we find the gift in this moment? How is life happening for you and not to you? How will you rise from the ashes better than you were before? How will you choose to be great?
